New Micro Electronics Clean Room
Micro-Electronics Clean Room Facility
Local and state governments invest about $100 million to build a micro-electronics clean room facility at the BRIDG center for advanced manufacturing research near Kissimmee, Florida. The facility is equipped with etchers, lasers, cleaners and printers for the manufacturing of semiconductors from silicon wafers. The new micro-electronics clean room facility will bring a new wave of high paying jobs to the local economy and will pave the road for future innovation in the semiconductor industry for Kissimmee, Florida.
Officially in its brand new 109,000 sq ft micro-electronics clean room facility, BRIDG inspires and forges tomorrow’s emerging technologies. Including approximately 40,000 square feet of cleanroom laboratory/manufacturing space, this home to the BRIDG team allows for continued coordination with Osceola County, Florida, and the University of Central Florida (UCF) as final construction details are completed.
Designed as one of the world’s most flexible and adaptable fabs, BRIDG has space to accommodate a variety of partner-funded activities.
And it all happens at NeoCity, where BRIDG is the anchor of a 500-acre, master-planned intuitive community of innovation strategically located in Osceola County, part of the metro Orlando region.
- The facility will be operated by BRIDG
- 109,000+ SF of lab and office space
- Main cleanroom operating at Class 100
- Class 10,000 cleanroom
- Access to key transportation and commerce hubs: Orlando International Airport, Port Canaveral, Florida’s Turnpike, and the I-4 high-tech corridor
Just one year ago, NeoCity was an open field and today it is BRIDG’s new home. We have a state-of-the-art facility to help us bring to light new and exciting ideas for our partners. We are thankful to Osceola County, the University of Central Florida, and the Florida High Tech Corridor Council for their visionary leadership and invaluable support. Osceola County is becoming a hub for high-tech jobs and innovation, and it is amazing to witness this growth every day.”
